Generator "Side Kick" mount

We have had our Yamaha EDF2400iSHC generator mounted on the rear receiver hitch using a Torklift Lock and Load SideKick mount for about a year or so now. But, it blocked access to the passenger side rear door. And I like to use that at times to enter or exit the RV with out using the large sliding door.

To resolve this dilemma, I removed the RAM OEM trailer hitch and ordered this CURT 19101 "Bumper Hitch" add on receiver hitch, and welded it on the driver side.

Note: We have the RAM OEM installed hitch, NOT the CURT aftermarket hitch that is found on the Winnebago Travatos.

Here's a picture of the added offset receiver being painted before reinstallation.

We then reinstalled the OEM trailer hitch. We now have two receiver hitches on the rear of the RV. The normal centered hitch, and now the offset hitch on the drivers side.

We then moved the SideKick mount over to the offset receiver hitch, and I can now carry the generator while retaining use of the passenger side rear door!
