The factory floor between the driver and passenger seat in the cab of every RAM Promaster has this "squishy" floor. The floor is some form of plastic with a foam insulating layer below that always feels "squishy" when you step on it. I never liked it so I decided it was time to address that issue, I built a level hard floor between the driver and passenger seat!

I simply added 2 wooden cleats on the lower frame of the driver and passenger seats. Making sure they new floor would be level!

Here's the new floor installed. It is supported on the two cleats on each side, and the "step" sets flat on the lower "stage" area. I finished by trimming the plastic covers on the front and back of the seats at the floor level and reinstalling them.

No more "squishy" floor and the new floor is hard and level!
